organizations tag themselves as "Eco-friendly", an "Eco-Lodge", and
"Eco-Tourism", but we at Sendero Panama feel that in the travel business the
idea of eco-tourism is sometimes exploited by those not necessarily
conducting business ecologically.

Education - The more closely our guests are able to connect with a
destination, the more valuable an affect it will have on their lives.
Through exposure and education they will come to care about and protect our
planet and inhabitants for future generations.
Recycling - In all possible cases we will strive to recycle and reuse
materials required when conducting our tours.
Carbon Neutral Air Travel - When possible, we will use exclusively the services of Aeroperlas Regional Airlines. Aeroperlas is one of the first companies in Panama to neutralize its CO2 emissions by protecting 1,000 hectares of growing rain forest in ANCON's private reserve in Punta Patiño, Darien, which absorbs approximately 10,000 tons of CO2 – more CO2 than the airline emits in one full year of flight operation.
Ecologically Responsible Business Partners – In all cases possible we will strive to use the serves of those businesses required to conduct our tours, such outfitters, hotels, local guides, etc., that practice ecologically responsible business.
