Mission Statements
At Sendero Panama we operate with integrity following a path, a sendero. We feel the following statements embody our course:
Why Travel with Sendero Panama?
With a combined 30 years experience working within the fields of ecological
conservation, interpretation, hospitality, and corporate business, our
guides and operational staff at Sendero Panama are qualified experts.
Our core team of guides consists of certified interpretive guides (CIGs)
through the National Association for Interpretation (NAI). Our
Multi-sport and trekking adventure guides are Wilderness First Responders
certified through the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the
American College of Emergency Physicians, meaning they are trained to
respond to emergency situations in remote settings. We are the only
travel company in Panama that can make those claims.
In addition to having a staff of CIGs we also partner with ITEC, the
Institute for Tropical Ecology and Conservation. ITEC dedicates its
efforts to teaching and promoting a conservation conscience amongst some of
the greatest minds of our future ecologists, biologists, and research
scientists. Sendero Panama is also engaged in a Guide Training Program
with USAID, Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, NAI, APTSO, and ATP
(Panama Tourism Authority) to train and certify, within the ideology of
sustainable tourism, professional guides who have made tourism in Panama
their career.
To educate individuals through personal experience about the importance of protecting the ecology of this planet.
To support endeavors that promote ecological responsibility.
To provide top notch customer service and create an excellent and memorable experience for our guests.
